About Me
I set up China Connections more then 10 years ago to advise on Chinese culture and business. I run many workshops in the local community to introduce Chinese culture, inspire inclusion and mutual understanding. I set up Golden Rickshaw Chinese kitchen, reaching out to more people through authentic Chinese food and connecting more people with Chinese culture. I believe in building connections - learning about other cultures can encourage people to be more tolerant and can foster a more positive attitude towards people from a different country or cultural background. Sharing Chinese culture is helping people to resolve their fear of the unknown, learning wisdom from this ancient civilisation, therefore improving their own life.Role in PEACEPLUS
I am a social partner in the programme, and have previously been the vice chair for a year. I am fully engaged in the PEACEPLUS programmes design and implementing process. Hopefully, I am providing insight and views from an ethnic minority angle, showing communities that immigrants can and do have positive impacts in the host country.
