SECTION 1 -
Defining the activity subject to Section 1(1) of the Rural Needs Act (NI) 2016

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council

This policy and procedure details how the Council will procure, manage, maintain and dispose of their vehicles, plant and machinery.

Vehicle, Plant and Machinery Asset Policy

To ensure that all vehicle, plant and machinery assets are registered, managed and maintained in an efficient way.

To ensure that staff at all levels are aware of their responsibilities with regard to the use, maintenance and disposal of assets.

To track Council’s vehicle, plant and machinery assets in a transparent manner.

To purchase and dispose of vehicle, plant and machinery assets in a transparent and efficient

This is an internal technical policy only.  Its purpose is to procure, manage, maintain and dispose of assets such as vehicle, plant and machinery and therefore has no differential impact on rural or urban residents.

This is an internal technical policy only and will have no bearing on individuals’ social or economic needs.  It supports effective Vehicle, Plant and Machinery Asset management only.

The Vehicle, Plant and Machinery Asset Policy is an internal technical policy, supporting the operational process of asset management and has no differential impact on either rural or urban needs.
