Recycle Week 2024 will take place from the 14th to 20th October 2024. This year’s theme – ‘Rescue Me. Recycle’ will focus on rescuing everyday recyclable items that often end up in the rubbish bin, when they could've been recycled!
Recycle Week reminds citizens that recycling is worthwhile and will encourage everyone to rescue these items and recycle them. It is estimated that 79% of UK citizens miss one or more items which they could be recycling in their kerbside blue recycling bin and by recycling at least one extra item as part of our daily recycling routine will make a huge difference. Five commonly missed items which are overlooked are; toilet roll tubes, aerosols, spray bottles, perfume bottles and yogurt pots.
