European Week for Waste Reduction - Don't bin it, bring it!
European Week for Waste Reduction, runs from the 16th to 24th November 2019, aims to raise awareness about waste reduction, reuse and recycling.
The Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council would like to encourage our local residents to get involved by recycling more, in particular broken or unwanted electrical items including batteries, by visiting their nearest household recycling centre. There are lots of electrical items from around the home which you can bring, for example, alarm clocks; CD/DVD players and game consoles; small kitchen appliances such as kettles, toasters and blenders; large kitchen appliances such as fridges, freezers, washing machines, tumble dryers; personal grooming items like hairdryers, straighteners, electric toothbrushes and shavers; garden tools such as lawnmowers and shredders; other items such as lamps, torches, vacuum cleaners, phones, radios, TVs, printers, cameras and smoke alarms. So don’t bin it, bring it! No item is too small.
