Glenshane Community Development Ltd. is actively involved in various community-focused initiatives and services, including:

Management of Glenshane Business Park, Glenshane Enterprise Centre & McCloskey House & formerly the Seedcorn Loan Fund

Delivered Women's Development Programmes previously including a Female Entrepreneur Programme with the Training For Woman Network.

Whilst we have not delivered a specific Adult Social Prescribing Programme, we have delivered a range of activities targeting physical and mental wellbeing, including the Active Families programme on behalf of the Western Trust and the Health and Wellbeing for the former Limavady Borough on behalf of Dennett Interchange & the Western Trust. Additionally we have also delivered programmes including walking, yoga, pilates, painting & singing for mental health.

We have delivered a number of Community Skills & Employability Programmes, including ACE, New Deal and the Wider Horizons Programme. We have also provided training and development programmes targeting business start-up, business development, and skills enhancement.

Our focus on community development initiatives including facilitating delivery of the University of Galway’s Community Development programme in association with the Rural Community Network has developed resilient communities.  International co-operation with Estonia, Latvia & Finland, through the Rural Development Programme has also encouraged this.

Social Inclusion Initiatives - We aim to foster inclusivity and promote social inclusion through offering a warm place & an Advice Service.

The organisation's involvement in preserving history, heritage and home is reflected through our collating stories for the "Winding Roe" magazine and publishing it for 20 years as well as hosting an international conference as a spin off.  We also restored Dungiven Castle from a ruin to an active building, currently accommodating Gaelcholaiste Dhoire.

We have hosted several Multi-Cultural events encouraging cross-engagement in activities that promote multicultural understanding and celebrate diversity within the community

We are one of 7 Rural Support Networks in NI to provide community development and advice.  We are a membership-based organisation, community development, project management, networking to allow community groups to share knowledge and experience, capacity building from one-ones to group training to build skills and knowledge of communities, sustainability - adapting to the needs within the communities, developing and delivering projects. Micro Capital Grants - ensuring rural community facilities are fit for purpose.  Communications - providing the latest information on local programmes and funding opportunities.
