The Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council PEACEPLUS Partnership has successfully secured £6.1million funding through the Co-Designed Local Action Plan.

The Co-Designed Action Plan (under area 1.1 – ‘Building Peaceful and Thriving Communities’) will cover 23 projects, of which 21 will go to public tender. These will be delivered under 3 thematic areas, including:

  • Local Community Regeneration & Transformation
  • Thriving & Peaceful Communities
  • Celebrating Cultural Diversity

A full list of the proposed projects can be viewed here.

Councillor Ciarán McQuillan, Chair of the PEACEPLUS Partnership has commended everyone involved who ensured the success of the application, adding: “I am mindful of the effort that went into laying the foundations for the development of the Plan throughout the past 2 years.

“This includes individuals and community organisations who inputted into the consultation through events, surveys, the Partnership who provided direction and leadership, the elected members who supported the process across the board and the staff officers who coordinated the process and application.

“This is hugely positive news for the Borough, and we are excited to see how this investment will benefit our citizens and positively improve our Council area in the coming years.”
