Local History Talk at Ballymoney Town Hall

Local historian S Alex Blair continues his new series of talks on Wednesday 16th March in Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Ballymoney Town Hall at 8pm.

This series, entitled “Call to Arms”, explores the many calls to arms which echoed throughout the early years of the twentieth century. This evening’s talk looks at the Easter Rising which took place in 1916 in Dublin. In this centenary year, much will be said and written about what is now regarded as a most significant moment in modern Irish history and in his talk Mr Blair will provide a background for this historic event.

Admission is £2 and includes refreshments. The series concludes on 6th April when Mr Blair will be focussing on Gallipoli and the Somme.
