Coleraine Cougars Celebrate a Successful Season Coleraine Cougars Special Olympics Basketball in partnership with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council and Coleraine and Active Communities, held their annual awards night on Friday 19th June, celebrating another fantastic season for the club. The awards ceremony held at Rathmore Golf Club, Portrush, rounded up a very successful season for the club. Jonathan McFadden, Active Communities, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council said: “As head coach of the club I am very proud of the achievements of all the athletes this season. “The club congratulates all the award winners and Ulster athletes and looks forward to welcoming all the players on their return to training in September for what is expected to be another successful season. “The club would like to thank its funding partners, Rotary Club Coleraine, Coleraine Lions Club, Triangle Housing Association, The Port Hotel Portrush and Asda Coleraine. Without their help and financial input, the club would not be possible”. Award winners on the evening included: Niamh Murray for Club Personality of the Year; Stefan Darragh, Club Person of the Year; Ross McMullan , Most Improved Players of the Year; Liam O’Hara Skills Player of the Year; Ryan Gibson Junior Player of the Year; Mark Lind, Players Player of the Year; Andrew Stewart, B-Team Player of the Year; Kevin Cunning, Coaches Player of the Year; and Jonathan Campbell, Most Valuable Player.
