COUNCIL MAKES APPEAL TO THOSE WITH MEMORIAL SEATS ON PORTSTEWART PROMENADE

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is proposing to commence an improvement scheme on Portstewart Promenade which will include the replacement of all the seating including those with memorial plaques attached. The plaques are to be transferred onto the new seating. The proposed scheme may commence in September 2015 and include resurfacing, replacement railings, lighting and the furniture along the sea front. A number of the families who purchased seats have been contacted, however some unfortunately have not as yet been traced. Council is appealing to families who have a memorial seat along Portstewart Promenade if they would please contact Mr Alan Jeffers at Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council to discuss the proposed arrangements.
