What is Active Causeway?

Sports Development is an initiative aimed at promoting the development of sport and recreational activities with specific emphasis on rural areas and links between schools, clubs and young people.

It's aims can only be achieved through partnership i.e. between Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council, Sports Council for Northern Ireland, the North Eastern Education and Library Board, local schools, sports clubs and associations, all of whom when working together can broaden available opportunities.

Sports Development has no precise definition but can be seen as a process by which quality opportunities for the local community to enjoy sport are provided at a level determined only by each individuals interest and ability.
