Brief Summary
The Personal Contribution Development Process involves a bi – annual, two-way conversation between a line manager and their direct reports about a staff member’s contribution to the success of their team and service.
What is it trying to achieve? (intended aims and outcomes)
The Personal Contribution and Development Review Process aims to improve the delivery of services across the Council by aligning and optimising individual contribution to organisational plans and priorities and then supporting all staff to succeed.

The OD/HR Department own the Process; however, line managers implement it.

The PCDR Process is an integral part of the Council’s approach to good governance, accountability and effective performance management which has at its core a focus on learning and continuous improvement.

Through the process of developing the PCDR and the screening process we have not identified any significant issues that require further consideration.
Mitigation
When the Council concludes that the likely impact is ‘Minor’ and an equality impact assessment is not to be conducted, the Council may consider mitigation to lessen the severity of any equality impact, or the introduction of an alternative policy to better promote equality of opportunity or good relations.
