Beaches within the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough - A General Introduction

The Borough of Causeway Coast and Glens is arguably home to some of Ireland’s most beautiful beaches.  They intersperse the rugged basalt and limestone coastline with golden stretches of sand, often flanked by extensive dune systems. These spectacular beaches offer a natural playground for families in picturesque surroundings.  Collectively they provide opportunities for many activities including surfing, paddle boarding, coasteering, horse riding, kayaking, walking, swimming and sand castle building.  Alternatively the beaches are a perfect place for relaxing with family and friends, while enjoying a picnic together.
