Councillor Richard Holmes visited Armoy Primary School on Friday 18th June 2021 for a special celebration to mark the school's 50th anniversary.
A Coat of Arms was presented to the school principal, Mrs Claire Steele, to mark the occasion.
Speaking afterwards, the Mayor said: “I would like to thank Armoy Primary School for inviting me to be a part of this very special anniversary. For the past 50 years it has played a central role in the village, and I’m sure that many of today’s pupils have followed in the footsteps of their grandparents or parents. The school is rightly proud of its place in the community and its connections with parents and families. These are central to today’s celebrations and I wish all those associated with the school my congratulations and best wishes for the next chapter.”
