If you need emergency fuel support your local advice centre can direct you to a local organisation such as St Vincent dePaul or Salvation Army who will be able to help you with emergency electric or gas top up, fuel stamps or other support.

Fuel Stamp Savings Scheme
A Fuel Stamp Savings Scheme ia available to help householders budget towards the cost of heating your home. The stamps, which cost £5, are available from a wide range of retail outlets including local Post Offices and Credit Unions. A large number of oil distributors accept them as payment or part payment.

Energy Efficiency Advice
Energy efficiency advice including home visits is a free service aimed at reducing fuel poverty. Energy Efficiency Advisers provide information and advice to householders in order to help improve the energy efficiency and thermal comfort of their homes. In particular they provide support to more vulnerable clients who may be at risk of fuel poverty or struggle to keep their homes warm. For more information and contact details click here.
