Summary
If you offer acupuncture, tattooing, semi-permanent skin colouring, cosmetic piercing or electrolysis within the borough of Coleraine, Ballymoney, Ballycastle and Limavady, you must be registered with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.
Why do I have to register?
Anyone offering these services, including the premises they work from within the borough of Coleraine, Ballymoney, Ballycastle and Limavady must be registered with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) (NI) Order 1985. Once registered you will be issued with a certificate of registration.
Cost of Registration
The registration fee is £75.00. All premises who apply to us must be located within the borough of Causeway Coast of Glens.
Will Tacit Consent Apply?
No. It is in the public interest that the authority must process your application before it can be granted. If you have not heard from Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council within 20 days please contact us.

Failed Application Redress
Please contact Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council in the first instance.
Applicants will be notified within 10 working days of any Council decision in respect of the application.
