Award-winning Boyhood Film Launches Cinescape Screenings for Parents and Babies at Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre

Tue, August 11, 2015

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre sees the award-winning, internationally acclaimed film, ‘Boyhood’ launch the new Cinescape screening programme on Thursday 13th of August at 11am. Cinescape screenings are designed for parents and babies aged 0-12 months. These special screenings permit parents to sit back, relax and enjoy a series of amazing films in a relaxed environment, without worrying about how much noise their baby may make. Lights are kept at a higher level to enable visibility for parents in the screening and the sound levels on the film are slightly lower than normal. Tea and coffee is also provided free of charge so parents can come individually, together or as a group and enjoy a coffee morning with a difference! The stunning Oscar-winning film, ‘Boyhood’, traces the life of a young boy from early childhood to college, using the same actors over a twelve year period. This unique and compelling film, which stars Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette, charts the rocky terrain of childhood like no other film has before. Set to a soundtrack spanning the years from Coldplay’s Yellow to Arcade Fire’s Deep Blue, Boyhood is both a nostalgic time capsule of the recent past and an ode to growing up and parenting. ‘Boyhood’ also screens at 7.30pm on Thursday 13th of August for the general public.
