Council’s LiveSmart team would like to recognise individuals throughout Causeway Coast and Glens who make a difference by keeping their local area tidy.
The new ‘LitterSmart Champion’s Certificate’ is designed to highlight and thank the many people who give their time freely to pick litter across the Borough.
We know that in 2024 volunteers helped collect almost two thousand bags of litter and whilst groups are acknowledged and often supported through our LitterSmart campaign, we are aware of individuals who work tirelessly in their local areas litter picking and Council would like to acknowledge these people.
Alongside Council’s cleansing crews, these community minded people help keep our Borough clean and green so if you know someone in your community of any age, who helps keep their local area tidy by litter picking, please nominate them for the ‘LitterSmart Champion’s Certificate’.
To nominate please send their full name, the area of the Borough in which they are located and a brief description of why you are nominating them by email to: Recycle@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk.
