Causeway Speciality Market is now 10 years old.
The Causeway Speciality Market is a bustling speciality food and craft market held in Coleraine town centre on the second Saturday of each month from 9am to 4pm.
For ten years the Causeway Speciality Market has developed and attracts visitors and traders from all over Northern Ireland to Coleraine. The Market is the largest regular outdoor market in Northern Ireland with a wide range of both artisan food and craft products.
Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Councillor Michelle Knight-McQuillan said: “The April Market saw a record number of traders at the market, which now offers great variety each month.”
The Market now attracts 20 regular stallholders and 30 reserves, who compete for the remaining 16 stalls available.
The well established reputation of the Market has meant that more and more people are attracted to the Coleraine to walk around in search of their very own speciality, whether they’re looking for fine breads, fresh fish, stuffed olives, exotic cheeses, cookies or arts and crafts for gifts; the Market has increasingly become the place to be!
What the traders say:
“By far the best market we trade at in terms of our sales” – Lilian Kennedy, Curry Sauce.
“Well organised and great customers” – Joan Boyd, Kiltermon Country Bakes.
The market is managed and funded by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.
