The world famous Circuit of Ireland Rally visited the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough last week with two action packed stages. The Mayor, Cllr Michelle Knight-McQuillan, residents and visitors got the chance for a closer view at Bushmills Distillery and the remote service stop at Ballymoney where pupils from Leaney Primary School created more noise than the cars! With financial and logistical support from Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council the amazing television footage of The Dark Hedges, the Antrim Glens and the signature Torr Road stages was broadcast to a potential audience of 40 million people worldwide. Many of the top drivers tweeted after both stages, calling them “astonishing” and “world class”.
