Local little ladies, Alexis Burton and Summer Patterson are helping to spread the message that they need your vote to win a prestigious award for Coleraine.  ‘The Cornfield Project’, is one of the Northern Ireland Flagship finalists of the Grow Wild. Programme which has brought two communities together within the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area. The communities of Millburn and Ballysally submitted a joint project, which aims to transform and develop the use of a piece of land located between the two communities, known locally as the Cornfield site.  The finalist will be selected as Grow Wild’s flagship project in Northern Ireland and will be decided by a public vote. The winner will be awarded with £135,000 to implement their site plan, to transform the location into a nature area to benefit local residents. The Cornfield Team are asking everyone for their vote to help them win the prestigious award, as voting is now open until 1st November. The Big Lottery Fund supports the aspirations of people who want to make life better for their communities across the UK.
