Council’s Arts Service brings fun for all ages to the Borough this summer

Tue, August 01, 2023

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council Arts Service has already brought a packed programme of fun to the Borough this summer, with many more events and workshops available to book this August.

Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre collaborated on Limavady’s Stendhal Festival at the start of July, bringing a packed day of free creative workshops and dance fun to families. Another highlight of July was Sarah Carrington’s exhibition launch ‘Coastline’, with her wonderful coastal art still available to peruse right through until August 15.

Flowerfield Arts Centre brought the family fun with ‘The Puffin Rock Exhibition’ and associated workshops with events attended by residents and holiday makers. They also welcomed visitors from across the country to the ‘Stitching a Story Exhibition’ launch.  Both these exhibitions will be on display throughout August.

The incredible final textile sculpture created during the Woven Hug community sewing project, launched at the start of July, will embrace the façade of Flowerfield until the end of the summer.

Whether you’re interested in ceramics, music making, comic book illustrations or you’d just love an interesting day out or to enjoy a classic family movie, check out the fantastic programmes this August at Flowerfield and Roe Valley arts centres.
