Creative Fun for Children at the Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre
Scheduled for January are a new series of fantastic creative learning courses for children and young people at Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre, Limavady.
Budding artists can participate in a free Postcard Art workshop on Saturday 23rd of January and see their work on display in the Arts and Cultural Centre for everyone to enjoy. Two classes run from 10.30am until 12.30pm for ages 7 to 12 years and from 1.30pm until 3.30pm for ages 8 to 15 years.
The popular Dramabugs course for children aged 3 to 6 years commences on Thursday 28th of January. Combining drama, movement and speech to help little ones come out of their shells, this gentle six-week course runs from 4.30pm until 5.15pm weekly.
Professional dancer and choreographer Bridget Madden teaches two fantastic dance courses for boys and girls starting on Saturday 30thof January. As one of the few accredited Dancepl3y tutors in Northern Ireland, Bridget introduces this new dance and movement programme for children aged 6 to 9 years which nurtures three philosophies of being positive, being yourself and being fun! This new six-week course runs from 10am until 11am weekly.
This is followed by Strictly Dance-Electric, a high-energy six week course for ages 11 to 16 years and jam-packed with fun, teamwork and learning new contemporary dance styles, including hip-hop, jazz and tap.
