Entries now open for Fairtrade Fortnight Bake-Off

To mark Fairtrade Fortnight 2020, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is challenging Primary 6 and Year 10 pupils to a Fairtrade Bake-Off.
Participants can take part by baking at home or in school then choosing the best baker in your class to bring their bake to the grand final in Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s offices in Coleraine between 10am to 12pm on Friday 6th March.
One junior and one senior baker will be chosen as the Borough’s Best Fairtrade Baker.
The winning bake will be selected based on its appearance, taste and use of Fairtrade ingredients.
Remember, ALL ingredients which can be Fairtrade must be Fairtrade.
You must bring your Fairtrade ingredients wrappers with you as proof of use.
Fairtrade ingredients stocked in local shops include:
Fairtrade chocolate, Fairtrade sugars, Fairtrade nuts, Fairtrade cocoa powder, Fairtrade bananas, Fairtrade jam, Fairtrade icing sugar, Fairtrade spices, Fairtrade coffee, Fairtrade Golden syrup, Fairtrade marmalade and Fairtrade tea.

As well as showing off your baking skills, at the grand final you will meet and hear directly from Columbian Fairtrade coffee co-operative member, Luis Miguel Garcia.
All finalists will receive a goodie bag and certificate while the overall winners will each receive a £30 One4All voucher.
