Flowerfield Arts Centre, Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre and Ballymoney Museum set to re-open on Friday 11th December

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is delighted to confirm that Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart, Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre in Limavady and Ballymoney Museum will re-open to the public from Friday 11th December 2020.
Both Arts Centre will operate temporary opening hours of Wednesday & Thursday 10am-4pm and 7pm-9pm, Friday 10am-3pm and Saturday 10am-1pm.
Ballymoney Museum’s opening hours will be Wednesday-Thursday 10am-12.30pm and 1pm-4pm, Friday 10am-12.30pm and 1pm-3pm and Saturday 10am-1pm.
At Flowerfield Arts Centre, there’ll be an opportunity to view the Tribes and Tribulations collection by award-winning artist Helen Merrigan Colfer which has been described as the best exhibition hosted at Flowerfield to date. Two more stunning exhibitions continue at Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre, North of Eden by award-winning photographer James Hughes and Over the Rainbow, a selection of stunning paintings by Tori McNeill. Alongside this, Limavady Museum will present its Limavady Postcard Collection in the Ritter Gallery accompanied by a selection of bill-heads from the Nelson McGonagle Collection.

Meanwhile Ballymoney Museum’s ground floor galleries re-open on Friday from 10am.
Visitors can explore the area’s vibrant history since early times including the mystical Derrykeighan Stone from which the museum takes its enigmatic logo, the 1798 Rebellion, local involvement in the two World Wars, the Corfield Camera factory and the history of Road Racing in Ireland. There’s also an opportunity to view the Sam Henry exhibition, exploring the rich tradition of folk song across the Causeway area.
