Runners from across Northern Ireland took to the streets of Coleraine for this year’s Edwin May Five Mile Classic.

The event attracted 372 competitors – making it the biggest to date since it was first held four years ago.

Organised by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, participants left from Railway Road at 7.30pm with the race route ending in the town centre.

The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Councillor Joan Baird OBE, said: “My congratulations go to all of those who took part in this event, and we are delighted to see its popularity continue to grow every year. I would like to thank members of Springwell Running Club for all their assistance, and Edwin May Nissan for their sponsorship. It’s fantastic to see our Council working in partnership to deliver events like this.”

The evening finished with a prize-giving ceremony in Coleraine Leisure Centre.
