The events that unfolded in Paris on Friday evening have left us all shocked and troubled. In order to give the people of the Borough an opportunity to express their heartfelt sympathies to the victims of the Paris massacre, the Mayor of the Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Michelle Knight-McQuillan has opened books of condolence in the Borough offices at Coleraine Town Hall, in Ballymoney Town Hall, in the Council Offices in Limavady, and at Sheskburn House in Ballycastle. Council facilities will also observe the European one minute of silence at 11am this morning. The Mayor is also sending messages of support to the civic leadership of Councils’ twinned areas in France of Vanves, Vigneux-sur-Seine (suburbs of Paris), La Roche-sur-Yon, and Pourieres”.
