Nominations are now open for the third annual Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council Sports Awards.

The event is an opportunity to recognise the efforts of athletes, coaches and administrators right across the area.

The gala awards evening takes place on Friday 3rd November in the Lodge Hotel in Coleraine.

Regional heats supported by the local Sports Councils will take place in Ballymoney, Coleraine, Limavady and Moyle prior to the main event.

Heat winners across 12 categories, including Coach of the Year and Sportsperson with a Disability, will then go forward to the gala evening where the overall winners will be announced. There are also a number of categories aimed at young people, including Junior Team, Junior Sportsman and Junior Sportswoman

Individual and club nominees for each regional heat must reside or compete within their respective area.

You can nominate in as many categories as you wish as long as your nomination meets the agreed criteria.

This year’s awards will be assessed on sporting achievements from the 1st September 2016 – 31st August 2017.

Nomination forms can be downloaded using the link below. Hard copies are also available from Coleraine Leisure Centre, Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre, Roe Valley Leisure Centre, Sheskburn Recreation Centre and the Leisure and Development Department at Cloonavin. They are also available on request from Damian.McAfee@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk

They must be returned no later than 4pm on Monday 25th September 2017.
