‘Roe Valley Memories’ exhibition opens in Limavady

An exhibition by respected local historian, Nelson McGonagle is one of the main attractions in Limavady this month.
‘Roe Valley Memories’, featuring a lifetime’s collection of fascinating local photographs, opens its doors on Thursday 9th November at Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre.
Highlights of this exciting display include historic views of Limavady with images of sports, social and school groups and featuring many characters from the town’s rich past. The pictures provide an insight into the history of Limavady and Roe Valley in the later 19th to 20th centuries, and are sure to revive many fond memories.
On the opening night of the exhibition, Nelson will launch his new book entitled ‘Memories’. Beginning at 7pm, this free launch event will include a presentation by Nelson, a poem recitation by Bobby Forest and is open to all. Light refreshments will be provided.
The exhibition is free and continues until January 25th 2018.
Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre is open every Monday – Wednesday and Saturday from 9.30am- 5pm and from 9.30am-9.30pm every Thursday and Friday.
