General Beach Description

Cushendall Beach is a picturesque sandy and shingle beach set in a bay immediately to the north east of the small town of Cushendall. The beach is bounded by a grassed area with pathways, with Cushendall Golf Club further back. There is a toilet block, car parking and play area adjacent to the beach entrance. Enjoy spectacular views across the sea of Moyle to the Mull of Kintyre on the Scottish coast which is just over 20 miles away.

Facilities Include:

  • Car parking adjacent to beach entrance
  • Toilets close to beach entrance
  • Play area adjacent to main beach entrance
  • Dogs are permitted (restrictions apply 1st June - 15th Sept)

Please note: there is no Beach Lifeguard Service at this beach. The nearest beach with a seasonal RNLI Beach Lifeguard Service is Ballycastle Beach, approx. 16.5 miles to the north west.
