Platinum Jubilee Grants Programme

09 March - 23 March 2022

The Platinum Jubilee Grant Programme provides small grants for community and voluntary organisations to hold small scale community events and activities to mark the occasion of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Activities might include tea parties, fun days, talks, exhibitions, workshops. Groups could consider an intergenerational theme that encourages sharing of stories and activities, getting to know a different generation or encouraging greater understanding of the past. Or why not explore an aspect of royalty, from the modern royal family, through to historic kingdoms, royal sites of local significance and the kings and queens celebrated in our folklore and mythology?

Overall, the activities will be a celebration of community, encouraging people to get together and make connections through music, food, arts.

The grant programme opens on March 9th 2022 and applications can be made online here

Royal Connections

March - December 2022

Participating groups will be given training and assistance to research and present a site (or sites) with royal connections in their local area. The sites will then be brought together to form a heritage trail and digital map, with each case study adding to the tapestry of our shared heritage and landscape.
