New Rural Development Programme Information Sessions Announced
Causeway Coast and Glens Local Action Group will be holding a number of free information sessions across the Causeway Coast and Glens over the coming weeks on the new Rural Development Programme. £7.87m of funding will be delivered under the LEADER initiative to support businesses and local communities within the Borough.
The Local Action Group developed an Interim Rural Development Strategy which was approved by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in January, enabling the group to start supporting their communities with access to information and possible funds.
The information sessions will provide potential applicants with guidance on the new programme in terms of what funding is available, who can apply and what documents are needed to submit an application.
Causeway Coast and Glens Local Action Group Chairman, Patsy Bradley commented: “I would really encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about what funding is available under the new Rural Development Programme to attend one of the information sessions.
“Causeway Coast and Glens LAG has been allocated £7.87million of grant aid to assist rural businesses and communities over the next five years. The sessions will provide a great starting point for anyone who wants to know what is needed to submit an application and to allow sufficient time to get the necessary paperwork together.”
The sessions will be held across the Borough commencing on 16th February 2016.
