Award winning artists Emily Barker and Ciaran Lavery to perform intimate concert in Limavady

 

   


A very special evening is in store for music lovers at the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre, Limavady on Saturday 9th of January at 8pm when Emily Barker and Ciaran Lavery share the stage.

Emily Barker is the award-winning songwriter and performer of the theme to BBC TV’s Wallander starring Kenneth Branagh. Widely respected on the music scene, Barker achieved international recognition when her song Nostalgia was selected as the soundtrack for the Wallander series.

A blend of roots influences from country to English folk via 60s pop, her last album with The Red Clay Halo, Dear River, was critically acclaimed across the board. It achieved four and five star reviews including lead reviews in The Times and Evening Standard.

Aghagallon native Ciaran Lavery, is taking the music world by storm, having plaid at Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival and toured the UK and Germany whilst racking up millions of plays on social media music site Spotify. Recent winner of the Hot Press Big Break Award, Lavery just sold out two headline shows in London.

Having toured together in March 2015, the pair promise a superb evening of crafted songs. The Centre’s Danny Boy Auditorium will be set up in a cabaret style as this is a ‘Bring Your Own’, it is an event not to be missed.
