Strategic Assets - What We Do
The Strategic Asset Department within Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council have responsibility for the Council’s asset portfolio and oversight of asset-related matters, including acquisitions, transfers and disposals. All disposals or transfers of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council assets are managed through an established governance and review process. Council assets are considered on an ongoing basis to ensure they continue to support operational requirements, strategic objectives and the effective use of public assets.
Prior to any asset disposal or transfer progressing, a proportionate level of due diligence is undertaken. This can include consideration of title and ownership matters, legal and planning issues, valuation advice, operational implications, stakeholder interests, statutory obligations and alignment with Council priorities and wider strategic objectives.
