Donegal Art Group Exhibit in Limavady
The Inishowen Rural Arts Network present a stunning exhibition of artwork at the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre, Limavady from 8 April to 7 May.
Based in Donegal, the group promote the visual arts as an integral part of the area’s rural heritage and exhibiting artists are resident in the wild and beautiful Inishowen peninsula.
Describing themselves as ‘existing to encourage and inspire each other, our community and extended communities by working together around common ideas to provide inclusive arts projects which make a difference’, the ‘Re-Run’ exhibition features an exciting range of contemporary visual arts including sculpture, mixed media and painting created by these very successful artists, most of whom have participated in international exhibitions.
Desima Connolly, Arts & Cultural Services Officer, comments ‘We are delighted to host this stunning exhibition which showcases the work of rural based contemporary artists based in County Donegal. This is the second cross-border partnership initiative with the Inishowen group with many more to follow!’
Re-Run is featured in the arts centre’s Keady and Broighter galleries and admission to both is free. All are welcome to the exhibition launch on Friday 8 April from 7pm. For further information, visit www.roevalleyarts.com or contact the team on 028 777 60650.
