Fantastic New Arts and Museums Events Season for the New Year

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Cultural Services team launch their brand new events guide with a host of fantastic, exciting events from January to April 2016.

Exhibitions planned across the borough include the collection of acclaimed print maker Robert Sellar at Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart from the 9th to the 23rd of January, and the World Illustration Awards 2015 at the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre, Limavady from 4th of March until 2nd of April.

‘To the People of Ireland’, is a heritage exhibition exploring the Easter Rising in 1916, which will be featured at Ballymoney Museum from the 7th of March until the 2nd of April, whilst a related exhibition ‘On the Brink: The Politics of Conflict 1914-1916’ is on display at Portnagree House, Ballycastle from the 9th to the 25th of April.

Music lovers have a feast of superb gigs to choose from. Emily Barker and Ciaran Lavery, Cara Dillon and The Fureys all perform at the Roe Valley Arts Centre, Limavady as well as Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson Trio at Ballymoney Town Hall and jazz duo Tommy Smith and Brian Kellock at Flowerfield Arts Centre Portstewart.

These are just some of the new season’s highlights available for everyone to enjoy. The full programme includes fantastic theatre, heritage talks, creative arts workshops for young and old, and plenty of family fun in store for St Patrick’s Day and Easter.
