This Easter, children and families across the Causeway Coast and Glens are invited to a week of imagination, colour, and hands-on making at Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre, Limavady and Flowerfield Arts Centre, Portstewart. Whether you’re local or visiting, there’s something to spark every child’s creativity.
At Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre, young artists can explore iconic artists and their styles in playful workshops. From creating bold pop-art pet portraits inspired by Andy Warhol (4 April), to a messy, energetic Jackson Pollock Splash Party (8 April), there’s fun to suit all tastes. Children can also sculpt and decorate Easter Clay Hares (9 April) and experiment with colour, collage, and pastels in Kandinsky Colour Lab (10 April).
Meanwhile, Flowerfield Arts Centre offers hands-on seasonal fun. Children aged 8–12 can make shimmering Fused Glass Easter Egg Decorations (1 April) and craft their own Chick & Bunny Baskets (4 April) from air-drying clay. For a full creative adventure, the Easter Art Club (8–10 April) provides three days of spring-themed crafts, from watercolours to mixed media, for 5–12-year-olds.
With activities designed to boost confidence, spark imagination, and encourage self-expression, the Easter programme promises a joyful, creative week for children of all ages. Families and visitors are warmly invited to join in the fun and make lasting memories.
Spaces are limited. Early booking is recommended. Visit Flowerfield.org and roevalleyarts.com for more information and to book.
