The Ballycastle Junior and Senior August Tennis Tournaments, facilitated by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, saw hundreds of competitors descend on the seaside town.
The two-week tournament, refereed by Sean Moloney at the Alex McFarland Tennis Courts, proved to be a great successful with entrants enjoying playing on the lawn and newly resurfaced hard courts.
The Junior tournament had 189 competitors with over 430 matches played, while and the Seniors had a great turnout with 215 competitors and over 330 matches played.
Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Oliver McMullan, enjoyed watching some local tennis stars and commended the competitive spirit of all those who took part.
Cllr McMullan said: “I was delighted to attend the Tennis Tournament in Ballycastle and see the fantastic sporting talent we have in our area.
“The standard of play was first class, and I was in awe of the skill level displayed, particularly by the junior players.
“Congratulations to the winners and well done to all those who took part. Your enthusiasm and skill helped make this such a competitive and enjoyable event.”
