World Host training held for tourism and hospitality staff
Mon, February 27, 2017
A World Host training programme has been held for tourism and hospitality staff from across the region.
It was organised by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council in association with Tourism NI.
The course trainer was local food ambassador Wendy Gallagher, who shared her knowledge and enthusiasm with 24 participants.
They also enjoyed a range of delicious local food and drink samples, as they learned how to become food ambassadors.
Tourism Development Officer Zoe Bratton said: "This is the second training programme that we have ran for our local tourism and hospitality trade. The response to the course is a true example of how passionate people are about learning and selling the stories of the fabulous food and drink produce we have in our destination and across Northern Ireland.”
Following on from the success of the day, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council plan to run another course on Tuesday 21st March at the Roe Park Hotel in Limavady.
If you are interested in taking part contact nuala.mctaggart@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk by Wednesday 8th March.
