Residents researching their family history can now explore burial records from cemeteries across the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough through a new online digital mapping service.
The ‘Discover Everafter’ platform provides easy access to local cemetery information, including digital maps, burial records and memorial details, helping people to locate graves and discover more about relatives and loved ones connected to the Borough.
Users can search the platform by cemetery, surname or other available record details, with interactive maps helping to identify the location of individual plots.
Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Councillor Dawn Huggins said: “Our cemeteries are an important part of the heritage of our Borough, providing a lasting connection to the people and families who have shaped our communities over generations.
“This website provides a valuable digital resource for anyone looking to learn more about their family history or find information about a loved one.
“I hope the service will be useful to residents and visitors and encourage people to discover more about the people and stories connected to our Borough.”
‘Discover Everafter’ includes records from cemeteries within Causeway Coast and Glens and across Northern Ireland, alongside information about individual cemetery locations and visiting arrangements.
The platform can be accessed online at https://causewaycoastandglens.discovereverafter.com/ where users can search available cemetery and burial records.
*Discover Everafter is a free public portal provided by Plotbox. Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council uses Plotbox software and its database under licence to manage cemetery bookings and maintain burial records.
