Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council facilities update

The following Council facilities and services will close or be curtailed in direct response to the latest measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus agreed by the NI Executive on December 17th 2020 .
This period of restriction will last for 6 weeks from Saturday, 26th December, unless notified otherwise.
Arts Centres and Museums.
Flowerfield Arts Centre and Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre will close from Thursday 24th December.
Both venues will continue to maintain online engagement programmes and outdoor activities through their ARTbeat initiative. Visit www.flowerfield.org or www.roevalleyarts.com and their associated social media pages to keep up to date and join in.
All museum facilities will remain closed. However, you can follow behind-the-scenes work on our collections and make use of the family history resources as well as search the collections and our online history publications via www.niarchive.org and relevant social media pages.
Sport & Leisure Facilities. The following facilities will close from Thursday 24th December.
- All Council leisure centres and sports centres.
- All Council sports pitches.
- All Council operated tennis courts in Ballycastle, Coleraine, Castlerock, Portstewart, Portrush, Portballintrae.
- Council golf courses at Ballyreagh and Benone.
All community centres are closed, except for essential childcare services. Play parks remain open.
Holiday and Leisure Parks.Holiday and leisure parks will remain accessible for static vans only for those already resident, for work-related purposes, for vulnerable people, for those in emergency situations and people unable to return to their main address. All toilet, shower and communal spaces will be closed.
All Council facilities for touring caravans, camping and glamping will remain closed.
The parks affected include Benone, Carrick Dhu, Cushendall, Cushendun, Juniper Hill and Drumaheglis.
Note that Council’s holiday and leisure parks routinely close on the 12th January, for 4 weeks, for routine repair and maintenance activities.
