The team behind the North West 200 has been honoured at a special Civic Reception hosted by Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Councillor Dawn Huggins.
Members of the NW200 Organising Committee were welcomed to Cloonavin on Tuesday evening as the Mayor paid tribute to their dedication and hard work in delivering one of the Borough’s biggest annual events.
The Mayor said the reception was an opportunity to acknowledge the significant work that takes place behind the scenes to deliver the event each year.
Mayor Huggins said: “The North West 200 is one of the biggest events in our calendar and attracts thousands of visitors to our Borough each year.
“The work that goes on behind the scenes to make an event of this scale happen is truly incredible.
“I wanted to take the opportunity to show our appreciation to Mervyn White MBE and the entire organising team for the dedication, commitment and hard work they put into making the North West 200 such a success.
“The event is hugely important to our local community and economy, and it showcases Causeway Coast and Glens to audiences right around the world.
“On behalf of Council, I would like to thank everyone involved for the time and effort they invest in delivering this fantastic event year after year.”
