Council Advises Residents of Available Energy Efficiency Grant Schemes To support local residents, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is advising those in a low income household who own or privately rent a property, of a number of available grant schemes. These schemes may provide assistance and support in improving the energy efficiency of the property. The Northern Ireland Sustainable Energy Programme (April 2015 to March 2016), has grant schemes which provide varied levels of assistance and support. Insulation measures can include cavity wall insulation, loft insulation and hot water cylinder jackets. Additionally, grants towards installing a new gas or oil heating system may be available if the property has Economy 7, solid fuel or no central heating.
