Fri, September 30, 2022

Coleraine Leisure Centre is celebrating the transformation of its fitness suite following a £150,000 investment by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.

The refurbished space features state-of-the-art equipment suitable for all levels including free weights, strength and conditioning and functional training kit.

Alongside an exciting range of cardio and strength machines, gym members will be able to achieve their fitness goals in a welcoming and motivating environment.

Commenting after enjoying a tour, the Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council Councillor Ivor Wallace said:

“We know that living an active lifestyle is very important for our overall wellbeing, and Council is committed to helping our residents achieve this through the facilities and services that we provide.

“This new space, coupled with our knowledgeable staff who are here to assist and guide our members, is a great asset for the area, and it places Coleraine Leisure Centre at the forefront of gym provision in the area.”

“I was made to feel very comfortable during my visit, so if you’re considering joining a gym but you’re feeling apprehensive, please be assured that you will get all the help and encouragement you need from our staff which will help you to set and reach achievable goals.”

The opening of the impressive new facility coincides with the launch of Council’s Thrive household membership offer. This gives two adults and children (living at the same address) access to all Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s leisure facilities for £50 per month.
