Free information sessions about Welfare Reform are being held in Coleraine and Limavady.

They’ll provide a basic overview and introduction to welfare reform, including Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment and the mitigations package.

The sessions are open to anyone involved in the community or in supporting roles who would like to become better informed about Welfare Reform

They will enable participants to answer general queries, recognise when a client or service user may not be claiming what they are entitled to and when they may need a referral to specialist support.

There will also be the opportunity to hear from specialist Welfare Reform Advisors who are based in both areas.

The sessions are funded by the Department for Communities and are organised by Citizens Advice Causeway and Limavady Community Development Initiative in association with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.

The training will be delivered by Citizens Advice Northern Ireland and Advice NI.

The sessions will take place on Thursday 2nd February from 5.30pm -8pm in the CRUN Building, 1 Brook Street, Coleraine and then on Friday 3rd February from 9.30am-12pm at Limavady Community Development Initiative which is based at 24d Benevenagh Drive, Limavady.
