Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Oliver McMullan has congratulated Limavady United FC with a special reception to mark their promotion to the NIFL Premiership.

Manager, Paul Owens, his coaching staff and players met with the Mayor on Wednesday night at Cloonavin.

Mayor, Councillor Oliver McMullan said: “After a long 18-year absence it is wonderful that Limavady United are back in the top league again.

“I know that Paul Owens and his staff and players have worked very hard to get them where they are now. I have to commend their commitment and dedication.

“The Club has invested in their ground with a new state of the art pitch and other new facilities and I wish them every success for next season.”
