Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Dawn Huggins, is calling on the community to join her for a charity static cycle in support of Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke.
The Mayor will host the event at Coleraine Town Hall on Saturday 17 October, with 15-minute cycling slots available between 10am and 4pm.
The event marks National Stroke Day and will raise funds for Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke, one of the Mayor’s chosen charities.
The charity is particularly close to the Mayor’s heart, having lost her mum to a severe stroke.
Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Dawn Huggins, said:
“Having lost my mum to a severe stroke, Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke is a charity that means a great deal to me personally.
“I’ve seen first-hand the impact a stroke can have on a family, and the importance of having the right support there when people need it most.
“I’m delighted to be supporting the charity during my term as Mayor and I hope people will come along and join me for this fundraising event.
“You only need to give 15 minutes of your time. Whether you’re a regular cyclist or simply want to support a great cause, I’d love to see you there and help us make a real difference together.”
Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke supports people and families affected by chest, heart and stroke conditions through its care, prevention and recovery services. The charity is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2026.

Council staff and members of the public are invited to book a 15-minute slot and help raise funds for Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke.
