Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Councillor Dawn Huggins, recently welcomed the New Zealand Honorary Consul for Northern Ireland, Caroline Keenan, to a civic meeting focused on strengthening connections between the Borough and New Zealand.

The meeting, which was also attended by Alderman Aaron Callan, provided an opportunity to discuss the historic and cultural links between the Causeway Coast and Glens area and New Zealand, while exploring opportunities for future collaboration.

Discussions included the potential to develop partnerships across heritage, tourism, education and cultural exchange, building on shared history and longstanding diaspora connections.
