Opportunity for Coleraine residents to shape the Future Town Fund

The initial phase of public engagement for the Coleraine Future Town Fund is drawing to a close, and local residents are being urged to seize this final opportunity to share their views on the priorities for the fund.

The Coleraine Future Town Fund is a new funding programme which is part of the UK Government's Pride in Place Programme (formerly known as the Plan for Neighbourhoods) which will invest up to £20 million in Coleraine over the next 10 years. The funding will help to strengthen communities, build thriving places and enable communities to shape Coleraine’s future.

The public consultation is a crucial chance for the community to influence how Coleraine will develop in the years ahead.

The funding boundary for this programme is the entire Coleraine settlement including the area along the river and includes the town centre and all local neighbourhoods and we want to ensure that all residents and businesses have the opportunity to share their views on what the priorities for regenerating Coleraine should be.

Over the summer, we have held a range of engagement events with stakeholders from across the town and a flyer has recently been delivered to all households across Coleraine, providing details on how to participate in the survey and make your voice heard.

A range of surveys looking at different aspects of life in Coleraine are accessible on the Coleraine Future Town Fund page on the Causeway Coast and Glens website. Residents are encouraged to complete these surveys as soon as possible to ensure their opinions are considered. To mark the end of the initial public engagement period, a special event will be held on Tuesday 21st October 2025 at The Lodge Hotel, from 2pm - 4pm. This event offers an opportunity for residents to discuss the Future Town Fund, meet with members of the project team, and learn more about the next steps in the process.
