Rathlin Boathouse Visitor Centre has received a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award in recognition of its outstanding service excellence.
The award reflects the excellent reviews received by the Rathlin Visitor Servicing Team over the past 12 months and recognises the team’s commitment to providing a warm welcome and positive experience for visitors.
Deputy Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Alderman Sandra Hunter, recently met with staff at the Boathouse to congratulate them on the achievement.
Speaking afterwards, Alderman Hunter said:
“I would like to thank the staff of Rathlin Boathouse for their hard work and the fantastic service they offer to visitors from all over the world. Securing a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award is a major achievement, with only a small percentage of businesses reaching this high standard.
“Our Visitor Servicing teams play an important role in welcoming visitors to Causeway Coast and Glens, and this award reflects their professionalism and commitment to providing excellent customer service to residents and visitors alike.”
Council’s Visitor Servicing Officer, Caroline Carey, added: “As well as providing a warm welcome, our Visitor Information Centres give local tourism and hospitality businesses a valuable platform to showcase their experiences. They also help promote the many local food and craft products available across the destination.
“I’m delighted that the Rathlin team has been recognised in this way, and we are looking forward to reopening the Boathouse and other seasonal centres at the end of March 2027, in time for the Easter break.”
Rathlin Boathouse Visitor Centre brings the island’s past and present together through a collection of displays, photographs, images and articles.
Located just six miles off the coast of Ballycastle, Rathlin Island is one of Northern Ireland’s most captivating destinations, renowned for its rugged cliffs, rare wildlife and peaceful pace of life.
While the Boathouse closes for the season at the end of September, Rathlin Island continues to offer a memorable visitor experience throughout the year.
