Blues guitar legend Ronnie Greer makes a welcome return to Ballymoney on Wednesday 30th November with his powerhouse band, featuring some of the country's leading musicians.

Undoubtedly one of the most popular acts to appear in Ballymoney Town Hall, the show is one of a series of superb music events taking place across the area organised by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Cultural Services team.

Ronnie's distinctive guitar style, merging Chicago blues style licks with be bop jazz lines, has been critically acclaimed as world class.  His band, comprising Anthony Toner, (guitar and vocals), John McCullough, (keyboards), Ronnie O’Flynn, (bass guitar) and Eamon Ferris (drums) operate on a level which has to be heard to be appreciated.

Ronnie’s music has been described as “proper blues from a proper bluesman” according to Ralph McClean BBC Radio Ulster, while The Blues in Britain Magazine have defined the band as “magnificent and world class.”
Joining the band as a special guest is Ireland’s Queen of the Blues, Grainne Duffy.

Grainne is a unique talent. She is raw and powerful, edgy and elegant.

She has an intense understanding of the blues and also brings a great deal of soul to her music. Her voice and her playing are inspired by the wellsprings of Memphis and Chicago but also reflect the rich varieties of the Celtic experience.

The concert begins at 8pm and tickets £9, concessions £7 are available from Ballymoney Town Hall 028 2766 0230.
